The facilities of the Hotel La Stüa in San Cassiano in Alta Badia are conceived to turn your stay to a pleasant immersion into the world of the mountains: into the world of skiing, into the world of hiking, into the world of the stunning Ladin culture, into the kingdom of the Dolomites. The short distance from the cable car of Piz Sorega and from the best hiking routes makes La Stüa a perfect solution both for summer and winter holidays, both for romantic getaways and family breaks.
The atmosphere inside the Hotel is full of comfort, cordiality and traditional charm. Right at the entrance the cosy lobby welcomes you with the scent of natural pine and with the crackle of the fireplace. There is no other place better than our characteristic bar-stube to sip a glass of wine, exchanging emotions after an exciting day in the mountains. The wellness area will help you to regain forces left on the ski slopes and on the steep hiking paths. Meanwhile, the kids can have fun in a small playroom.
And afterwards, all together, to the elegant dining room, where you can enjoy our scrumptious home-style cuisine that represents a tasty mix of classic recipes and typical Tyrolean dishes. Once a week, however, we take the opportunity to spoil you with something very special – a traditional Ladin buffet dinner in our rustic tavern, where you can taste the best specialities of the local cuisine: barley soup and turtres (a sort of fried patties), spätzle (a kind of fresh egg pasta) and canederli (a sort of dumplings), cajinci (traditional Ladin ravioli), polenta (a typical dish from cornmeal) and the famous speck of Alto Adige.
