Pisciadú

Wishing to explore the most distant part of Alta Badia you should set off from your Hotel La Stüa by car or public transport to the Gardena Pass, where you can enjoy a panoramic hike towards the Pisciadú Alpine hut on the border between Alta Badia and Val Gardena. To ascend from the pass to the Alpine hut, follow trail no. 666 that winds up across the gravelly and rocky slopes of the Sella massif. Height is gained quickly, sometimes with the help of fixed metal ropes that facilitate climbing up the most difficult segments and at the end of your trip you’ll see the Pisciadú Alpine hut on the shore of Pisciadú Lake.

Take a rest and enjoy the breath-taking view and then descend following trail no. 676 arriving in the charming Val Mezdì (Val de Misdé) that in winter turns into a paradise for freeride and ski mountaineering. Then continue along trail 651 to Colfosco.
